Welcome to the website of King of Glory Lutheran Church. The congregation is located on the northwest side near the city limit that separates Boise from the community of Meridian.

Our worship life is rooted in the Lutheran heritage. It revolves around Word and Sacrament., Through the course of the year we use numerous worship services from the ELW (Evangelical Lutheran Worship) and other sources. For a description of our ministry of music, please refer to the greetings from our Director of Music.

In addition to the education program involving Sunday School, confirmation and Vacation Bible School, there are regular youth activities for grade school children, middle school youth and high school students. There are two high school Peer Ministry groups meeting with six trained adults. There is also a Tuesday evening high school study group.

King of Glory attempts to reach out within our community in a variety of ways. We participate in community wide food collection drives. We support a variety of food pantries. We participate in special clothing and food distribution programs. We help serve meals at local agencies. We provide various types of support to a shelter for women and children called "City Light." We also participate in city wide programs called "Rake Up Boise" and "Paint The Town." Our social Ministry Committee does a good job promoting a number of other community projects through the course of the year.

A variety of adult educational opportunities are available both on Sundays and weekdays. There are also a number of regular small group, adult activities such as a monthly book study group, a hiking group, eight-person Koinonia groups that meet once a month for meals, Bible studies and more. In addition, our Fellowship Committee schedule and plans as many as eight fellowship opportunities for the congregation during the year in order to facilitate relationships and friendships.

Come joins us for worship some Sunday morning. There's no better way to see who we are and to get a sense of our commitment to ministry. We look forward to meeting you.

Grace and peace be with you,
Lon Bechtel and Kari Sansgaard, pastors
